Tool and Die Technician

Osmundson Manufacturing Co. is hiring a Tool and Die Technician. The incumbent is responsible for manufacturing, maintaining, and repairing dies, tools, and related equipment to support production operations. This role involves setting up and operating machine tools, diagnosing tooling issues, and ensuring quality standards. The position requires working in a factory environment, collaborating with various departments, and adhering to safety and company policies.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manufacture, assemble, and maintain dies for hot and cold production.
• Install, remove, and inspect dies and tooling for defects.
• Diagnose and repair damaged tooling and stamping dies.
• Operate metalworking tools such as drills, milling machines, grinders, and lathes.
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and CAD drawings.
• Conduct test runs to ensure tool and die accuracy.
• Maintain an organized and safe work environment.
• Communicate with management regarding equipment repairs and needs.
• Support the CNC/Tool and Die Manager in daily operations.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Proven experience as a Tool and Die Maker.
• Familiarity with manufacturing environments and tooling processes.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Knowledge of metal shaping, machining, and measuring techniques.
• Ability to lift up to 60  pounds and work in a factory setting.
• Familiarity with health and safety standards.
