The Tool & Die Technician is responsible for the maintenance, repair, troubleshooting, improvement, and fabrication of tooling used in automotive manufacturing operations. This position ensures tooling, dies, fixtures, jigs, and related equipment operate safely, efficiently, and consistently to produce high-quality products that meet customer specifications. The Tool & Die Technician performs tooling maintenance, machining, fabrication, preventive maintenance, and continuous improvement activities that support manufacturing performance, tooling reliability, and operational excellence.
The ideal candidate is a mechanically inclined, hands-on problem solver who takes pride in quality workmanship and continuous improvement. They enjoy troubleshooting issues, working with precision equipment, and finding practical solutions to improve safety, quality, and operational performance. They are detail-oriented, dependable, and capable of working both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. The successful candidate demonstrates a commitment to safety, accountability, and teamwork while continually seeking opportunities to learn, develop, and contribute to the success of the operation.
Responsibilities
Maintain, repair, troubleshoot, and improve production tooling, dies, fixtures, jigs, and assemblies.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area while complying with all safety, quality, and environmental standards.
Assist Operations with job changeovers, die setup, and startup activities to support safe, efficient, and reliable production while meeting quality requirements.
Perform other duties as assigned.
