Tool & Die Maker - Room for Advancement

Client is a full service, ISO9001:2015 certified manufacturer of metal stampings and custom assemblies. We’ve delivered high quality products to our customers since 1950.

This is a full time position in a team environment developing and maintaining various types of manufacturing tools and fixtures. Candidate must be able to work in the shop as well as in the pressroom on progressive and forming dies.

Job description:

• Ability to maintain tooling in good working order to produce quality parts while the die is in production as well as complete preventative maintenance is required.

• Candidate must have a working knowledge of a variety of die types and have troubleshooting ability.

• Candidate should also have the skills to use common toolroom equipment such as grinders, milling machines, lathe, and CNC experience is a plus. Individual will need to perform well in a team centered, safety first environment.

Schedule:

8 hour 1st shift Monday-Friday

Occasional overtime may be required

Responsibilities:

-Basic conventional machining skills are required (mills, lathe, surface grinder, etc)

-CNC experience (programming/operating)

-Reading blueprints and verifying machined parts to specifications, dimensions and alignments

-Construct dies

-Alter and repair dies and tooling

-Working knowledge of metal stamping dies (progressive and forming dies)

-Inspecting and measuring finished parts

Salary: Negotiable based on experience
