Position Summary:

AAA, United States, Inc. has partnered with a company in Charleston, SC that is a leading global aerospace manufacturer that specializes in the design and production of aircraft, aerospace equipment, and systems. With a rich heritage dating back to 1863, they are committed to delivering innovative solutions that meet the evolving needs of the aerospace industry. We are looking for experienced Tool Kitting Technician who are seeking their next opportunity in a complex and ever-changing work environment!

As an Tool Kitting Technician you will play a critical part in preparing and assembling tool kits that support aircraft production, maintenance, and assembly operations.

Essential Functions:

  • Assemble and prepare complete, accurate tool kits for various production and maintenance operations, ensuring compliance with job requirements and specifications.
  • Inspect, verify, and maintain the condition of tools and equipment within the kits, ensuring they are safe, functional, and within calibration standards.
  • Organize, label, and track kitted tools and components for easy identification and efficient deployment.
  • Collaborate closely with production, maintenance, and tool control teams to understand tooling requirements and adjust kits as needed.
  • Support the management of tool inventory, including restocking, identifying shortages, and communicating replenishment needs.
  • Assist with tool repairs, minor maintenance, and calibration tracking as required.
  • Maintain accurate records in the tool tracking system, ensuring all kits are documented, tracked, and ready for deployment.
  • Contribute to process improvements in kitting procedures to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized work environment.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support team success.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required; relevant technical training is a plus.
  • 1–2 years of experience in a tool room, warehouse, or manufacturing support role preferred.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and basic understanding of aerospace tools and equipment.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to lift and move items up to [insert weight limit, e.g., 50 lbs.] as needed.
  • Familiarity with tool tracking systems, ERP systems, and basic computer skills is a plus.
  • Proactive, flexible, and able to adapt to changing priorities.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
