Tool Maintenance Technician

• Follow tool maintenance procedure
• Clean and maintain molds and trim dies as requested
• Inspect tools for any damage
• Inform Tool Room Manager when nonconformance is found
• Complete Tooling Work Order
• Place tools in assigned areas after cleaning
• Clean up work area at end of each shift along with general tool room cleaning
• Make pickups and deliveries as needed
• Maintain the cleanliness of the pickup truck and maintain work truck’s condition
• Assist Mold Makers, Zinc Die Cast Operators and Setup Technicians as needed

• Basic math skills
• Basic computer knowledge
• Heavy lifting required
• Familiar with measuring equipment (i.e. micrometers, pin gages, feeler gauges, torque wrenches etc.)
• Basic knowledge of hand tools
• Mechanical skills/aptitude
• Mechanical repair knowledge
• Experience setting up and/or operating production machinery, automated cells or production lines
