Tooling Inspector

General Summary:
This position is responsible for inspecting tools, reviewing tooling drawings, overseeing proof load tests, and performing periodic inspections on tools for conformance to tooling drawings and specifications.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Interprets drawings, routings, product specifications, and quality requirements, to determine dimensions and tolerance specifications.
Interprets and preforms geometric dimensioning and tolerance (GD&T) evaluations.
Examines materials and product for surface defects, such as cracks, pits, dents, burrs, nicks, and incomplete welds.
Compares product with parts list or sample model to ensure completion of assembly.
Follows established procedures to verify specified dimensions of product or material.
Inspection of tools, proof loads, CMM reports to drawings and specifications.
