Tooling Project Manager - Excellent Benefits Package

A family-owned business that provides custom engineering design for tools an dies and custom machines, and custom stamping and machining services, is actively seeking a Tool & Die Maker who is passionate about the art of crafting top-tier products for a variety of industries (automotive, defense, etc).

Essential Functions:

• Design for dies and tooling
• Shop design and layout support, sketches for electrodes, details, engineering changes, and repairs.
• Direct customer contact
• Works directly with Operations Manager to schedule deliveries, workload and floor support.
• Kees up to date with the status of jobs in process on completeness and profitability with the Team Leaders.
• Help organize shop for proficiency and efficiency
• Initiate quote requirements and develop quote as time requires
• Job set-ups and ISO compliance
• Coordinates work between division or outside vendors
• Prepares requisitions for the purchasing of supplies and materials
• Work with programmer to develop NC and CNC programs 
• Assist in establishing new customers

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering preferred, or minimum of high school diploma or equivalent with accompanying extensive direct experience in lieu of bachelor’s degree.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in related manufacturing/ machining industry
• Experience designing dies, tooling or molds
• Knowledge of AutoCAD and/or Solidworks
• Proficiency with computers and Microsoft Office.
