What's the job?
We are currently recruiting for a Tooling Technician to provide assistance to the toolmaking team by performing basic maintenance, cleaning, and organizational tasks in the tool room and production areas.
Key Responsibilities:
Preventive Maintenance on Molds
Perform scheduled PM on molds.
Clean molds thoroughly.
Conduct functional checks on hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
Inspect and perform basic repairs on pinch lines (excluding welding).
Organize and store molds properly.
Complete PM checklists accurately and on time.
Repair Work in Tool Room and Production
Clean slug holes and ensure proper functionality.
Inspect punches for wear or damage.
Repair broken tool components as needed.
Replace and adjust inserts.
Check and repair pinch lines (excluding welding).
Operate manual lathe and milling machines for tool adjustments and repairs.
Skills & Competencies:
Technical Aptitude:
Basic understanding of mechanical principles and tooling concepts.
Willingness to learn operation of manual lathe and milling machines under supervision.
Attention to Detail:
Ability to follow instructions accurately and maintain precision in tasks.
Careful handling of tools and molds to avoid damage.
Problem-Solving:
Ability to identify simple issues and escalate appropriately.
Eagerness to learn troubleshooting techniques from experienced toolmakers.
Safety Awareness:
Commitment to following all safety protocols and wearing proper PPE.
Understanding of basic shop safety and lockout/tagout procedures.
Teamwork & Communication:
Ability to work collaboratively with senior toolmakers and production staff.
Open to feedback and proactive in asking questions for clarity.
Learning Orientation:
Strong desire to develop technical skills and grow into a full Toolmaker role.
Ability to absorb training and apply new knowledge effectively.
Time Management:
Ability to manage assigned tasks efficiently under guidance.
Punctual and reliable in meeting training and work schedules.

Production Team (for mold changes and troubleshooting)
