Biomerics Interventional Medical Plastics division supports the company vision by manufacturing small and large plastic components and assemblies for several market-leading radiology, robotic surgery equipment, and interventional device suppliers. 

Position Summary: As a Toolmaker you will directly support production and engineering with the maintenance, repair, assessment and troubleshooting of thermoplastic injection molds.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Operate standard shop equipment (mills, grinders, lathes, EDM)
• Diagnose and implement corrective action on new and existing tools
• Clean and maintain molds – keep molds in good working order
• Keep and record mold history on each tool
• Perform duties and priorities as assigned by supervisor and staff per the organizational chart
• Keep personally owned measuring tools calibrated 
• Keep area safe and clean
• Follow all Safety procedures 

Requirements/Experience

• Minimum 7 years of experience working with Injection Mold Tooling, either building new, maintaining existing or a combination of both.
• Read complex drawings of molds and parts (paper and electronic)
• Experience with Microsoft (Outlook, Word, Excel)
• Knowledge of hot manifold systems
• Ability to work in a team environment. 
• Ability to effectively communicate with other toolmakers, engineers and production personnel.

Education

• High School/Equivalent required 
• Minimum two-year technical school degree necessary with a four-year state certified apprenticeship in mold making preferred
