Tower Wiring Foreman - Construction Services

The Tower Wiring Foreman is responsible for leading a crew in the installation, routing, connection, and testing of electrical wiring within wind turbine towers (or other vertical tower structures). This role ensures that all wiring work is performed safely, efficiently, and to specification while maintaining productivity and quality standards. The Tower Wiring Foreman serves as the direct working leader in the field, coordinating day-to-day tasks, ensuring crew readiness, and supporting troubleshooting effort

Key Responsibilities/Essential Function:

• Lead and direct tower wiring crews in performing electrical installation, cable pulling, terminations, grounding, and labeling inside tower structures.
• Review and interpret electrical drawings, schematics, and work instructions to ensure accurate installation.
• Assign tasks, monitor progress, and ensure proper use of tools and equipment.
• Enforce safety procedures, conduct job hazard analyses, and hold daily safety briefings.
• Inspect work to ensure compliance with project specifications, manufacturer standards, and applicable electrical codes.
• Coordinate with the Tower Wiring Superintendent, other trade foremen, and quality control teams to resolve technical or scheduling issues.
• Maintain accurate records of work completed, materials used, and any deviations from plans.
• Support troubleshooting and testing activities to verify proper wiring function prior to commissioning.
• Ensure proper housekeeping and organization within the tower work area.
• Train and mentor crew members to develop their skills and knowledge.

Education & Experience Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent required; technical or electrical trade school preferred.
• 3+ years of electrical installation experience, with at least 1 year in a lead or foreman role.
• Knowledge of industrial wiring practices, safety standards, and electrical codes.
• Ability to read and understand blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
• Strong leadership, communication, and time management skills.
• Familiarity with electrical testing equipment and proper cable-handling techniques.
• Ability to work at heights, in confined spaces, and in various weather conditions.
• OSHA 30, CPR/First Aid, and applicable electrical safety certifications preferred

Work Environment/Physical Requirements:

• Ability to climb and work inside tower structures.
• Lift up to 50 lbs. and work in confined spaces.
• Stand, walk, bend, and kneel for extended periods.
• Travel required to project locations, often in rural or remote areas.
