Job Description - Trade Marketing Specialist

For one of our clients, we’re seeking a Trade Marketing Specialist. As Trade Marketing Specialist you’re responsible for the trade marketing agenda for the NCI Territories. You take responsibility for developing the Channel Strategy, in line with the Consumer marketing strategy developed, as applicable to various channels. You’ll also work closely with the Sales Team to ensure flawless on -time execution of the category plans to drive business performance results and evaluate investments made on key activities for the assigned categories, leveraging cross -functional efficiencies and value -chain (e.g. Field Sales, Finance, P2P, Brand Activation Team and Supply Chain).

Requirements

  • BSc. in social studies; master's in management studies is a pre
  • Experience:
    • 4+ years commercial experience
    • 5 years in similar role
  • Previous experience in Sales and Marketing 
  • Proficient understanding of key functions, priorities, and essential business processes such as ICP and Dynamic Forecasting, along with familiarity with Competition Law and the company's Management and Leadership Principles, as well as Marketing & Sales/SBU Tools & Best Practices, and advanced comprehension of Shopper, Market Intelligence sources, and Category/Channel/Shopper trends
  • Demonstrable record of success in a customer facing role
  • Understands customers and the selling process
  • Understands key business functions 
  • Leadership competencies
  • Courageous, disciplined, mature and pragmatic


What will you be doing
The role involves developing and enhancing shopper focus and knowledge to drive integrated commercial planning. This includes identifying and developing deep shopper insight, segmenting businesses based on consumer and shopper needs, and prioritizing category opportunities at the trade level and shopper touchpoints. Additionally, it entails developing a clear category vision and commercial activity plans, collaborating closely with sales teams and business development managers. 

Responsibilities also include driving the integrated commercial planning process, developing category activation plans, recommending sales targets, defining promotional guidelines, and ensuring flawless execution of planned activities. Furthermore, the role involves forward planning, coordinating with various teams for flawless execution of category/business activity plans, evaluating promotion effectiveness, and continuously learning and improving execution strategies.
