Essential Job Functions

Position:                    Trades Helper

Department:              Engineering

Normal Working Hours:

·         Varied

Past Work Experience Requirements:

·         2 years experience in related field a plus

Educational Requirements:

·         High School Diploma or G.E.D.

·         Any vocational training a plus

Communication Skills Requirements:

·         Ability to communicate with internal and external customers

Technical Requirements:

·         Valid driving license (CDL a plus)

·         May need pesticide applicator license

·         Other license or certificate related to this field a plus

Physical Requirements:

·         Lifting  up to 70 pounds regularly

·         Walking

·         Standing

·         Bending and stooping

·         Climbing ladders, scaffolding, stairs, etc. constantly

·         Ability to work in confined spaces

Work Conditions:

·         Hot

·         Cold

·         Dirty

·         Wet

·         Heavy lifting

·         Work in high areas and on scaffolding

·         Long hours

·         Confined spaces

Required Supervision:

·         Ability to follow specific general instructions

·         Some  independent decision making

·         Work independently

Other Requirements:

·         Experience in tending plasters

·         Skills in sharpening chain saw chains

·         Driving dump trucks

·         Mason tending

·         Scaffolding erecting

·         Willing to be trained on new jobs

·         Overtime as required

·         Experience in roofing work of all kinds.
