Tradesman - Field Position - Oertel Metal Works

Oertel Metalworks is currently seeking a Tradesman, also known as a Pre-Apprentice Sheet Metal Worker, based out of Davenport, Iowa.

The Tradesman is responsible for assisting the apprentices or journeymen with various steps in the metal fabrication and maintenance process. This could include moving materials, setting up or operating various equipment, installation, and maintenance. Previous sheet metal experience is necessary, with previous field/outside/onsite experience preferred. 

What makes you successful in this position:

• A current, valid drivers license


• An interest in welding, fabrication, and maintenance


• Previous work experience working with your hands and physical labor


• Must be highly motivated, able to work independently and think of yourself as mechanically inclined

This position works Monday to Friday from 7:00am to 3:30pm each day, with the option for overtime. Base pay starts at $X/hour.
