Traffic Engineer

GovFirst is seeking to hire a Traffic Engineer to support our engineering opportunities in Staunton, Culpeper, and Richmond, VA.

• Evaluate and review traffic studies and engineering information for traffic control devices and ITS systems.
  

• Analyze and design traffic signals, signs, pavement markings, and guardrail layouts.
  

• Review and assess work zone traffic control plans.
  

• Collaborate with project teams to develop roadway and traffic engineering designs.
  

• Support project documentation, analysis, and compliance with relevant standards and regulations.
  
  

Requirements

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, or equivalent experience.
  

• 2–3 years of experience in traffic or roadway design, planning, or engineering analysis.
  

• Knowledge of traffic control devices, ITS systems, and work zone traffic control principles.
  

• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
