Traffic Maintenance Equipment Operator II

GovFirst is seeking to hire a Traffic Maintenance Equipment Operator II to support our engineering opportunities in Staunton, Culpeper, and Richmond, VA within the Transportation Operations Division.

• Operate and maintain equipment including light trucks, dump trucks, tractors with attachments, and other motorized vehicles.
  

• Perform sign repairs, installations, roadway line marking, and pavement marking operations using specialized equipment.
  

• Operate gas-powered hand tools and perform routine and preventive maintenance on light equipment.
  

• Assist with manual labor tasks, including loading/unloading, adjusting attachments, squatting, bending, and lifting heavy objects (50+ lbs.).
  

• Support snow removal operations, including operating snowplows during winter months (training provided).
  

• Perform assigned duties that are generally routine and repetitive in nature while ensuring compliance with safety standards.
  

Requirements

Qualifications:

• CDL required.
  

• Experience in operating light/medium-duty vehicles and equipment (dump trucks, tractors, etc.).
  

• Ability to perform heavy manual labor, including frequent bending, squatting, and lifting over 50 lbs.
  

• Knowledge of sign installation/repair and pavement marking operations preferred.
  

• Willingness to support winter snow removal operations.
