Traffic Signal Operations Technician

GovFirst is seeking to hire a Traffic Signal Operations Technician to support our engineering opportunities in Staunton, Culpeper, and Richmond, VA within the Transportation Operations Division.

• Troubleshoot and resolve traffic signal timing issues, communications equipment, and infrastructure concerns.
  

• Respond to and complete work orders accurately and on time.
  

• Utilize computer analytical software, controller firmware, and timing databases to analyze, diagnose, and remotely manage systems.
  

• Program traffic signal controllers and implement timing adjustments.
  

• Work with timing and phasing schemes, coordination plans, and detector/controller operations.
  

Requirements

Qualifications:

• 2–3 years of experience in traffic signal operations or related field.
  

• Knowledge of signal controllers, firmware, and traffic analysis software.
  

• Strong troubleshooting, diagnostic, and technical programming skills.
  

• Familiarity with traffic signal timing, phasing, and coordination principles.
