Job Description - Trailer Mechanic

Pay & Benefits
  • $19/hr - $32/hr based on experience
  • $1,500 SIGN-ON BONUS!
  • 3 weeks of PTO upon hire!! 
  • Paid weekly!
  • Monday - Thursday day shift - no weekends!
  • $6,240/annual ($3/hr) shift premium for 2nd shift positions
  • $1,200/annual tool allowance
  • $200/annual boot allowance
  • $1,200/annual CDL A or B Stipend

 ​Duties & Responsibilities
  • Perform standard inspections of mechanical and electrical components; identify root causes of common failures and complete necessary repairs. 
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical systems using diagnostic tools and industry best practices. 
  • Repair or replace components of standard air brake and suspension systems. 
  • Install and remove trailer decals as needed. 
  • Deliver outstanding customer service through clear, professional communication with drivers and driver support staff. 
  • Stay current with emerging technologies, tools, and repair techniques through continuous education and training. 
  • Assist other Mechanics as needed. 
  • Other duties as assigned. 
Talent Requirements
  • 1-2 years in fleet maintenance preferred. 
  • Familiarity with Transport Refrigeration Units (TRUs) is a plus but not required. 
  • Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment. 
  • Basic computer literacy, especially in relation to diagnostic software and tools. 
  • Valid Driver's License required; CDL A or B preferred but not mandatory.

Hirschbach is seeking Trailer Mechanics at our Memphis, TN shop! At Hirschbach you will complete preventative maintenance and minor repairs on one of the newest and fully featured fleets. Come join our talented team of Mechanics! ​
