Job Description - Trails Program Supervisor

Job Description Summary:  The Program Supervisor is a mental health professional who is responsible for ensuring that clinical support services are delivered in a trauma informed and person-centered approach.  The Program Supervisor will ensure that services meet the standards of care as established by Ozark Center and State and Federal regulations.  The Program Supervisor will assess, plan, develop, and coordinate recovery services to promote the maximum level of independence with each client served.   The CSS Supervisor I will teach and train staff to ensure that services are delivered with the highest standard of care.  The Program Supervisor shall report to the Youth Services Director.

Education:

  • Must have a Masters level degree in provisional or full licensure status in social services related field from an accredited college or university.

Work Experiences:

  • Must have three (3) years of direct clinical experience working with mental health/co-occurring disorders

Preferred Qualifications:

  • One (1) year of supervisory experience preferred

Responsibilities:

  • Provide supervision, oversight and training with assigned staff to ensure best care practices and job competencies are understood and met.
  • Ensure required documentation is completed correctly and within timelines given to meet quality measures.  Discuss QA and clinical issues with Youth Services Director.
  • Serve as back-up to assigned staff when these staff are unavailable (due to being with other clients, sickness, vacation, etc.) and/or in need of additional expertise.
  • Prioritize and assist with management of client needs and supports.
  • Provide program training and supports where needed to ensure quality of services delivered.
  • Provide individual/family/group therapist to the clients as required and indicated in the treatment plan.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned.

Physical Requirements:

  • Works in standard office environment and in the community as needed, meeting client needs as they transition to a step-down program or other agreed upon transition into the community.
  • Requires prolonged sitting, frequent standing, bending, and stooping.
  • Requires a typical range of hearing and manual dexterity sufficient to operate a computer keyboard, telephone, photocopier, calculator, and other office equipment as needed.
  • Requires standing, sitting, or walking for up to 8 hours or longer per workday.
  • Requires ability to work under stressful conditions, to adapt to change, and to effectively resolve conflict.
  • Requires the use of personal cell phone/jabber during community meetings/activities to communicate with supervisor/office staff during business hours.
  • TB test upon hire.
