Job Description - Training and Certifications Coordinator

Description

AMHC is looking for a full-time, detail-oriented, organized, and people-friendly person to join our team as a Training and Certification Coordinator in Presque Isle. 

  

The Training and Certifications Coordinator plays a key role in ensuring organizational excellence by managing all aspects of employee training, certification, and licensing. This position is responsible for the administrative oversight of professional training programs, ensuring that employees across all departments meet the required credentials and stay compliant with regulatory standards and applicable laws. 

Working closely with Human Resources, the Quality Department, managers, Program Directors, and external accrediting agencies, the coordinator develops and maintains systems to track employee credentials, schedules training sessions, and manages the certification and/or licensure lifecycle. 

 

Key Responsibilities

  

1. Develop, coordinate, and track mandatory training programs for clinical and non-clinical staff across the organization, ensuring compliance with licensing regulations and agency policy and procedures.

2. Collaborate with internal and external trainers to schedule in-services and continuing education.

3. Maintain a comprehensive training calendar and communicate updates effectively across teams.

4. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all staff licenses, certifications, and renewals.

5. Track renewal dates, continuing education unit (CEU) requirements, and send timely reminders to employees and managers.

6. Ensure training programs and certifications meet all federal, state, and licensing standards.

7. Support audit readiness by maintaining organized documentation and reports related to training and certification/licensure.

Requirements

  

  • An associate's degree in business, human resources, or a related field is required. 
  • 2-3 years of previous experience working in training coordination, credentialing, or HR compliance is required. 
  • This position requires a high level of interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential situations and documentation.
  • Familiarity with Learning Management Systems (LMS) and credential tracking tools is preferred.
  • Knowledge of industry-specific licensure and training requirements preferred.
