Job Description - Training Center Coordinator

Description

GENERAL JOB DUTIES:

Provide a wide range of administrative support activities to assist with achieving the operational goals of the Training Center. Independent judgment is required to plan, prioritize, and organize a diversified workload.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Consistently maintain a professional appearance and pleasant demeanor when interacting with internal and external customers, vendors and visitors, communicating in a customer-service oriented manner, whether in person, by phone, e-mail, etc. in order to foster optimal relationships.
  • Possesses a working knowledge of the proper use and operation of standard office equipment, able to perform required tasks such as photocopying, scanning, etc. Will be required to print and prepare a variety of Training Center manuals/binders/publications, maintaining applicable advanced inventory as required for upcoming training sessions, etc.
  • Maintain established filing systems (hard copy and electronic), updating and compiling accurate and organized records and data bases for ease of retrieval, research and reference when required. Follow established archiving practices as applicable.
  • Demonstrate efficient and accurate typing and proofing skills and attention to detail in the preparation of required documents and correspondence, when updating and maintaining databases, files (hard copy and electronic), etc.
  • Handle inquiries and requests for assistance in a prompt, courteous manner while maintaining poise, tact and diplomacy.
  • Recognize and adhere to confidentiality expectations when applicable, handling sensitive/ confidential information in an appropriate manner.
  • Responsible for monitoring, ordering and maintaining an appropriate inventory of office supplies, binders, Morrow branded items for gifts, etc. as required for the Training Center.
  • Keep work area neat and organized. Will be responsible for routine tasks such as daily opening/closing of Training Center facility, preparing coffee, restocking refreshments/supplies associated with hosting training session participants, preparing/setting up classrooms/lunchroom in advance of scheduled training sessions, cleaning up after catered lunches, store room organization and clean up, etc.
  • Ability to coordinate and make air travel and hotel reservations for employee trainees.
  • Make dinner reservations for training groups.
  • Place orders for training class meals when necessary.
  • Prepare gift bags for training attendees.
  • Assist in scheduling and registration of training center attendees.
  • Willingness to work overtime as necessary to accommodate the needs of the business.
  • Perform other tasks as necessary in order to accomplish the goals of the Training Center team.
  • Proctor and Assist with NCCCO test administrations.
  • Verify and/or process payment for customer training classes.

Requirements

TECHNICAL SKILLS/LICENSES REQUIRED:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required. One or more years of office/administrative/clerical support experience.
  • Proficient computer skills and working knowledge of relevant software applications required including word processing, spreadsheets, database and Internet applications. Experience with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Required to attend training courses and seminars as requested by the Company. This position may be required to maintain a current CPR and First Aid certification.
  • Maintain a valid State driver's license.
