The Training Coordinator is responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing training programs that support the development and safety of employees in a manufacturing environment. This role ensures that all employees receive proper onboarding, technical, compliance, and continuous improvement training to maintain operational excellence and regulatory compliance.
Coordinate and deliver onboarding programs for new hires, including safety protocols, equipment operation, company policies, and job-specific skills.
Assess training needs through job analysis, performance reviews, and consultation with department managers and supervisors.
Develop training materials, including manuals, guides, e-learning content, and visual aids, tailored to manufacturing roles.
Schedule and facilitate internal and external training sessions for production staff, supervisors, and leadership roles.
Ensure compliance with OSHA, FDA, ISO, or other relevant safety and quality regulations.
Maintain accurate training records for audits and compliance tracking, including certifications and re-certification timelines.
Evaluate training effectiveness and measure outcomes to identify improvements in training programs.
Coordinate with HR and Operations teams to align training with organizational goals and performance expectations.
Support continuous improvement initiatives by training employees on Lean, Six Sigma, 5S, or other process improvement methodologies.
Track and report KPIs related to training participation, completion rates, and skill improvements.
Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Education, Business, or related field preferred.
2+ years of experience in a training role, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
Knowledge of adult learning principles and instructional design.
Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
Proficient in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and learning management systems (LMS).
Understanding of safety standards (e.g., OSHA) and quality systems (e.g., ISO, GMP) is a plus.
Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment and adapt training methods to a variety of learning styles.
This role is based in a manufacturing facility and requires regular presence on the production floor.
Must be able to stand, walk, and occasionally lift up to 25 pounds.
Occasional travel may be required for training purposes.
