Job Description - Training Coordinator

Summary/Objective


The Training Coordinator will be responsible for providing departmental Safety and Training expertise and support for approximately 300 temporary associates. Leading team to attain safety, quality, delivery, cost and talent building objectives for the MAU associates supporting Kimberly-Clark, Paris, TX Location.


 


Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:


This is a full-time position. The work schedule will typically be Monday-Thursday 6:00pm - 6:00am. Occasional overtime or weekends are needed based on business need.




Essential Functions 



  • Safety:


  • Drive SAFETY as the number one priority for MAU.

  • Actively mentor/coach a safe work culture through employee engagement


  • Attend department pre-shift meetings and discuss safety topics.


    • Ensure that all MAU Personal Conduct Rules, Policies, and procedures are maintained

    • Use the second obligation to help keep the team safe.

    • Create and update Work Standards using Microsoft Word & Excel.

    • Perform weekly safety Gembas/Audits




  • Training:



    • Identify employee training needs and create a plan and execute to help employees succeed, as well as areas of workforce improvement and address areas of concern with training specialist.

      • Send notes to Training Specialist on subject matter with outlined improvement plan.



    • Follow standard training course guidelines.




Safety Training: OSHA required safety training, LOTO authorized training, powered industrial equipment training and certifications, platform specific safety and GMP training, job specific training and certifications. 



  • Document the training, send to Training Specialist.

  • Provide coaching to all associates.


  • Assist the platform in developing training standards.


    • Identify areas of workforce improvement and address areas of concern with supervisor.

    • Conduct quality review of employees.

    • Observe and report any safety concerns or violations.

    • Immediately address any and all issues regarding safety, housekeeping, damage or concerns and ensure shift supervisor is aware.




 


 


 



  • Communications: 

  • Assist with site wide communications related to policy changes and deployment.

  • Serve as a witness, when required for attendance, work performance, and conduct counseling sessions.

  • Create other communications as instructed by Leadership.

Required Education and Experience 



  • High School Diploma/GED with 2 years applicable experience

This position can supervise the following positions: 



  • MAU Associates

  • General Manager

  • Other Corporate Support Functions


 


Work Environment or Working Conditions 


The working conditions and environment are created by our customers’ facilities both in administrative areas and manufacturing environments. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines. Customer sites sometimes include process manufacturing equipment and heavy power industrial vehicles. Environments may vary from non-temperature-controlled environments to GMP clean room required.  


  
Physical Demands 


This position may require the following to be performed with or without reasonable accommodation. 



  • Must be able to walk up to 8 miles daily

  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.  


 


Travel 


Occasional travel may be needed but limited to less than 25 miles per month
