The Training Specialist - BULE (Business Unit Learning & Enablement) develops and monitors a variety of development solutions aimed at enhancing the performance for key business units. This role will specifically concentrate on providing training for new and existing employees within our contact center and retail branches.

Job Duties:
Develop and deliver training for new hires and existing employees in alignment with business objectives
Apply adult learning theory, instructional design best-practices, and learning standards to maximize knowledge transfer, skill building, and learning retention
Utilize a variety of learning technologies, channels, and mediums to create and deliver engaging learning experiences appropriate to the audience and environment
Support teammates in the adoption and usage of business processes, systems, and technology
Monitor and report on the effectiveness of education/training programs including staff attendance and specific program results
Ensure internal communications and learnings are prepared and delivered in a timely and effective manner
Act as a subject matter expert in core business unit systems and work with other subject matter experts to create and build-on company programs, systems, and projects
Represent the business unit regarding new products and changes to compliance, systems updates, and guidelines
Responsible for developing and maintaining training standards, meeting prescribed timelines, and continuous improvement of department operations
Proactively communicate to business unit leaders any employee related issues that arise during training
Proactively partner with other Learning and Development trainers to ensure alignment of company training programs
Essential Skills:
Minimum 2 years’ experience in a financial services retail branch, call center, collections, underwriting, processing, or servicing; including some experience in training, mentoring, or developing others
Ability to work autonomously to manage time effectively and prioritize work appropriately to meet deadlines
Ability to extract information, structure it, and create content that is simple to digest
Excellent verbal and written communication skills; able to express ideas concisely and logically
Excellent editing and proofreading skills, including a strong attention to detail
Ability to create and deliver engaging presentations tailored to diverse audiences
Ability to influence others and move toward a common vision or goal
Understanding of adult learning principles, change management principles, methodologies, and tools is preferred
Familiarly with a Learning Management System is preferred (Cornerstone or like system)
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
Minimum Education: High School Diploma; additional coursework in Instructional Design or Learning and Development preferred
Location: Hillsboro Corporate Office – Hillsboro OR 97124
Target Compensation in Hillsboro, OR: $50,000 to 60,000 annually + annual bonus
