Job Description

How You'll Do It
The Training Specialist designs and conducts training programs to develop the skills and competencies of our employees. They assess annual training needs in partnership with our site locations and functional teams, develop curriculum, and deliver training sessions both in-person and virtually.
Develops, organizes, plans, and presents various trainings to include onboarding, skill development, leadership, soft skills, and company compliance trainings.
Creates unique workshop programs to meet the needs of various teams.
Partners with third parties for specialized training programs
Has oversight to maintain the Learning Management System
Maintains knowledge of the latest trends in training and development.
Presents training and development programs using various forms and formats including group discussion, lecture, simulations, eLearning, and videos.
Administers the learning management system, maintaining records of training and development activities, attendance, results of tests and assessments, and retraining requirements.
Manages the Training Grant program and the Tuition Reimbursement program
What You'll Bring

Qualified candidates will have a Bachelor Degree in Communications, Education, or a related training field.
5+ years training experience with focus on workforce education and leadership training.
Experience with e-learning course development using instructional design.
Positive and proactive attitude with ability to build strong interpersonal relationships.
Ability to work independently and take initiative.
Excellent facilitation and presentation skills.
Able to travel approximately 25 percent; domestic and international.
Fluency in oral and written English.
Familiarity with Articulate360 software, familiarity with Oracle, Vector or other authoring software.
Extremely proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and related program software.

You will be part of Carmeuse Americas, a Rock-Star team of 2500 workers and employees bringing with them their own culture and specific needs. The Americas headquarters are located in Pittsburgh, PA and have over three dozen production facilities across the Eastern U.S., Canada, Chile, Brazil, and Colombia.
