As a Transition Manager, your primary responsibility will be to oversee the transition management projects that involve relocating transactional accounting activities linked to AP, AR and GA processes from a country/site to the shared services organization. Leveraging your expertise in project management and hands-on experience in process transitions, you will drive initiatives to ensure efficient and seamless transfers, aligning closely with organizational objectives and the strategic direction set by the Head of Transition Management
Goals & Responsibilities:
• Actively contribute to the development of Transition Concepts under the Head of Transition Management guidance, focusing on detailed operational input and practical insights.
• Provide expert input on objectives, benefits, costs, scope, risks, and timelines.
• Develop a clear and consistent framework that can be applied across different transitions, ensuring uniformity and efficiency.
• Define and implement clear split of activities and responsibilities between the country offices and the Shared Services Center. Ensure that each entity understands its specific roles and contributions to the transition process.
• Explicitly establish a baseline for each transition (including process, performance metrics, and service levels). Use this baseline to measure the effectiveness of the transition and identify areas for improvement. Continuously update and refine the baseline as transitions evolve and new insights are gained.
• Actively participate in communication reviews, risk management, and progress reporting.
• Lead the development and implementation of detailed transition plans, focusing on tactical execution and day-to-day management.
• Execute and/or supervise process documentation, onboarding, and training, ensuring robust and practical knowledge transfer mechanisms are in place.
• Define and track success metrics for knowledge transfer and staff readiness.
• Handle operational aspects of change requests, ensuring alignment with broader transition goals and immediate project requirements.
• Support the final stages of transition projects, ensuring a thorough and complete handover to the Shared Service Center.
Your Expertise:
• Experience: Proven track record in managing multiple transitions, preferably including at least one large-scale project, and a background of accounting is needed.
• Skills: Strong operational project management skills, with a focus on execution, communication, and direct stakeholder engagement. In-depth financial process know-how, including expertise in establishing and managing lean and efficient process setups, process documentation knowledge (ARIS is a plus)
• Qualifications: A degree in Business Administration, Project Management, or a related field. Additional certifications in project management methodologies (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2) are advantageous. Additional training or certification in financial management or process optimization would be beneficial.
• Personal Attributes: Adaptability and strong problem-solving skills, crucial for dynamic and diverse project environments. A customer-oriented approach, ensuring transitions meet or exceed stakeholder expectations. Effective team leadership, demonstrating the ability to lead diverse teams in operational settings.
• Fluent in English, other languages advantageous.
