Transmission Line Engineer

In addition Welty provides professional construction management services, specializing in Lean Construction for clients in a variety of healthcare, commercial, education, and hospitality markets nationwide. Some of the most prestigious community projects including Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company’s Global Headquarters & Pro Football Hall of Fame.

Furthermore we are looking for a Transmission Line Engineer to join our growing team on a remote basis, with travel to client sites as required (15-20%). As a Transmission Line Engineer you will design high voltage transmission lines (34kV – 500kV), prepare construction plan documents as required per project, perform analysis/modeling of wood, steel, and lattice structures, consult on select projects where your expertise and guidance is requested as well as provide technical assistance to the Welty Project Management Team as requested.

Responsibilities may include:

• Perform site visits when necessary.


• Interface with client’s engineering groups and project management team to provide regular and timely updates.


• Consult on internal projects when requested by the PM, Portfolio Manager, or Executive Vice President.


• Adhere to Welty Core Values, OPTIC (Openness, Passion, Teamwork, Integrity, Customer Centricity).


• Share knowledge and train oncoming Transmission Line Engineers.


• Establish trust and healthy rapport with client and contract engineer firms.


• Collaborate with Management Team to foster a productive and encouraging environment.

Education/Experience:

• Minimum: Bachelor's degree in Civil or Electrical Engineering at an ABET accredited university


• 3-5 years of experience as a Transmission Line Engineer


• EIT Certification with the intention to pursue PE license


• Preferred: PE License

Travel:

• 15-20% travel (project specific)
