Transmission Technician

Job Summary:
The Service Technician at Mission Chevrolet is a Full Time, 25.00-50.00 on a flat rate role in the Auto industry. This individual contributor position is located in El Paso, Texas and will require a highly skilled and dedicated individual to join our team. A transmission technician diagnoses, repairs and if necessary replaces transmission assemblies. They remove/disassemble units to repair and test drive vehicles to verify repairs made. Mechanical and electrical knowledge is required. 

Compensation and Benefits:
As a Service Technician at Mission Chevrolet, you will have the opportunity to earn between $25 to $50 per hour flat rate, and will receive biweekly pay. In addition, you will have access to a comprehensive benefits package, including:

Responsibilities:
- Diagnose and troubleshoot vehicle issues using diagnostic tools and equipment.

-Repair and rebuild: Remove, disassemble and replace failed transmission components. 

-Performing fluid flushes, leaks checks, and routine maintenance

- Recommend and carry out necessary repairs, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
- Document all work performed and maintain accurate records of services and repairs.
- Keep up-to-date with the latest technology and techniques in the automotive industry.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Communicate effectively with advisors to explain repairs and address any concerns.
- Collaborate with other team members to meet team and dealership goals.

Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED.
- 3 years minimum previous experience as an automotive transmission technician in a dealership is preferred.
- ASE certifications preferred.
- Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient in using diagnostic tools and equipment.
- Ability to work accurately and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Valid driver's license and clean record.
