Transportation Accounting Specialist

Auto Driveaway Truck Transport is a leading provider of heavy truck (Class 7 and Class 8) transport services along with boutique freight brokerage services. We moves trucks, complex assets, and other freight using drivers in 49 states and parts of Canada for over 500 customers including OEM truck manufacturers, Fortune 500 companies, dealerships and purchasers of new and used heavy trucks.

We are currently accepting resumes for a full time Transportation Accounting Specialist. The right candidate will possess strong work ethic, is detail oriented, likes to have fun and enjoys interacting with people.

The Transportation Accounting Specialist will provide accounting and clerical support to the Controller. Applicants must possess exceptional organizational skills, ability to maintain a high level of accuracy and detail, strong communication skills, self-motivated, as well as a positive attitude and the ability to enjoy a fun atmosphere. This position is responsible for various accounting duties and other tasks necessary to maintain accurate and detailed accounting records. The Transportation Accounting Specialist must be able to work cooperatively with other members of our team to efficiently carry out daily tasks.

Job Responsibilities (The Transportation Accounting Specialist will perform a variety of general accounting support tasks including):

• Review documentation for accounts payable processing
• Verify rates for contractor payments and customer billing
• Prepare daily payments to contractors
• Maintain vendor records
• Daily imports for contractor advances and reconciliation
• Process documentation into imaging software
• Perform daily transfers to accounting software
• Data entry using Excel for fuel tax processing
• Communicate with vendors to obtain documents or resolve issues with submissions
• Enter vendor credits
• Report vendor issues or balances to other team members as needed
• Complete special projects and miscellaneous assignments as required

Requirements

• Minimum of a High School Diploma; Associate degree a plus
• Previous accounting experience in service industry
• Customer service oriented
• Excellent verbal, written communication and organization skills
• Proficient level of computer skills including Microsoft Applications, Netsuite experience a plus
• Ability to manage time and work load and meet daily deadlines
• Quickly adapt to change and work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
