Transportation and Fleet Supervisor

Westminster Canterbury of Lynchburg, a 5-Star rated Continuing Care Retirement Community in Central VA is seeking a Transportation and Fleet Supervisor to join our team! Full-time position available with complete benefits package including Medical, Dental, Vision, Paid Time Off, 403B with company match, and more. Hours will vary but the position is full-time for 32-40 hours/week.

• Transports residents to appointments in a safe and timely manner. Plans schedule to minimize waiting times and mileage.  
• Adjusts schedule to accomodate for changes, cancellations, and emergency situations.
• Observes safety precautions during loading and unloading of residents. Assists residents as needed.
• Inspects vehicles on a weekly basis for adequate fluid levels and safe operation; adds fluids and ensures preventative and/or corrective maintenance performed as needed. Complies with all Virginia Department of Motor Vehicle requirements.
• Assures that vehicles are kept clean inside and out.
• Reports damages, traffic violations and any other problems immediately to supervisor.
• Processes transportation bills in a timely manner by completing all necessary forms and forwarding to supervisor for signature.
• Transports employees during inclement weather to and from work as directed by Administration.
• Schedules Limbo and Full-time Van Drivers. 
• Dispatches appointments for the transportation team. 
• Manages Transportation software. 

Requirements

Educational requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent

Licensure, Certification, and Registration

• Excellent driving record
• Commercial Driver’s License recommended but not required
• Organizing daily appointment schedule
• CPR and First Aid

Work Orientation and Experience

• Driving experience
• Flexible schedule
