Transportation Assistant

D&G Transportation is looking for a customer service representative to join our team in our Germantown office. This person will be a key component of a team, servicing the upper and lower Midwest, and the Southwest region of the United States.

The ideal candidate has a customer-first mindset, delivering high-quality service for every internal and external customer. We require experience in transportation/logistics.

Responsibilities:

• Manage customer communications - Answer incoming calls and emails to address customer questions, requests and issues
• Data Entry - Enter orders into our TMS with extreme accuracy
• Maintain working knowledge - Aid in troubleshooting daily issues, communicating directly with our OTR drivers (OSD, Detention, properly reporting delays, recording and entering unloading fees), and progression of trips through the TMS system.

Requirements:

• 2+ years proven experience in trucking/food service
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to address complaints and issues with effective solutions
• Passion for customer service with a smile and positive attitude
• Time-management and prioritization skills
• Familiarity with a TMS system

This position is NOT remote.  Full-time, non-exempt, Monday through Friday requirement.
