About the Role:
Join a 100% employee-owned (ESOP) civil engineering firm as a Transportation Structural Engineer specializing in bridge design and rehabilitation. Lead and manage structural projects from concept through construction, ensuring quality, schedule, and budget compliance while collaborating with clients, subconsultants, and internal teams.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design new and rehabilitate existing bridges using AASHTO LRFD standards
• Manage multiple transportation structural projects, budgets, and schedules
• Prepare contract bid documents and oversee construction phase services
• Lead and mentor design engineers and drafting staff
• Coordinate with clients, subconsultants, and the Maryland Department of Transportation
• Ensure compliance with structural design principles for steel, reinforced concrete, and prestressed concrete

Required Qualifications:

• Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) in Maryland
• 10–15 years of structural design experience, specifically bridges
• Proficient in AASHTO LRFD bridge design and MDOT project requirements
• Strong project management and client communication skills
• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (Master's preferred)

Preferred Qualifications:

• 3+ years leading design engineers or drafting teams
• MS in Civil Engineering
