Job Description:
This is general transportation infrastructure maintenance work involving construction, repair, and maintenance of vehicles, equipment, buildings, bridges, grounds, roadways and/or other applicable infrastructure. This Transportation Worker position is part of the Yard Crew at Fleet Services HQ. Work includes sandblasting and the use of hand power tools and related heavy equipment to perform assigned duties. These positions require long hours of work under adverse conditions. This position will need to obtain their Class A CDL along with a Haz-Mat endorsement to ensure the safe operation of the Department's specialized equipment such as the Under bridge Inspection Crane Truck and Waste Oil Truck. Work is performed under direct supervision.
