Trauma Registrar

Cedar Park Med is recruiting for an experienced Trauma Registrar. This role is essential in capturing accurate and timely trauma data to support both hospital and regional reporting needs. Candidates must have previous trauma registry experience and meet all mandatory training requirements prior to contract start.

Schedule/shift:

Day Shift / 13 week contract / 8hr shift / 5 days a week

Position Overview:

The Trauma Registrar will work within the trauma team to collect, abstract, and enter clinical data into the trauma registry. This data plays a key role in research, quality improvement initiatives, and meeting trauma center compliance requirements. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, experienced in trauma coding, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities:

  Perform timely and accurate data abstraction from medical records for all trauma patients

  Enter and manage patient information within the trauma registry database

  
  


• 
  

  Generate reports and provide statistical summaries to the trauma program

  
  


• 
  

  Maintain compliance with state, regional, and national trauma data requirements

  
  


• 
  

  Utilize Image Trend Registry and EPIC for data collection and review

  
  


• 
  

  Communicate with clinical staff and trauma team as needed for data validation

  
  


• 
  

  Participate in performance improvement activities and quality reviews

  
  

Requirements:

• 
  

  Experience as a Trauma Registrar is required

  
  


• 
  

  AIS Coding and ATS Trauma Registry course completion required prior to start

  
  


• 
  

  Knowledge of Image Trend Registry and EPIC systems preferred

  
  


• 
  

  CAISS certification preferred

  
  


• 
  

  CSTR certification preferred

  
  


• 
  

  Pediatric trauma experience preferred

  
  


• 
  

  Must pass pre-employment health clearance

  
  


• 
  

  Strong attention to detail and time management skills
