Client Job Ref ID : 141188 Shift Description : Day shifts 36 Hrs Travel Contract - Registered Nurse - Skilled nursing Newton, Massachusetts, United States - 02456Job Title: Travel Contract - Registered Nurse - Skilled nursing Number of positions: 1 Shift: Day shifts- 36 hours Duration: 13 weeks Start Date: 07/16/2023 JOB DESCRIPTION Follow a designated care plan in accordance with patient's needs. Make home visits to clients in designated geographic territories. Perform assigned duties, including administration of medication, wound care, treatments, and procedures. Monitor clients' conditions, reporting changes to Clinical or Client Services Manager. Follow up with, execute, and properly document doctors' orders. Perform client assessments as necessary. Case management and coordination. Accurately document observations, interventions, and evaluations pertaining to client care management and services provided, utilizing a state-of-the-art. touch pad tablet. Demonstrate caring and empathy. Take and track vital signs. Measure and administer medications as prescribed. Provide wound care, as needed. Provide catheter care. Ensure patient is fed and bathed. Ensure bedding is clean. Track and order supplies. Willingness to work a variety of shifts. Reliable transportation to the residential setting. Must feel confident providing nursing care without oversight. Ability to create rapport with patient and family members. Excellent communication skills. QUALIFICATIONS Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) National Institutes of Health (NIH) Certified Principal Investigator (CPI) Certification Sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology. The ability to stand for extended periods. Strong technical skills. Knowledge of medical terminology Passionate about patient care Completion of a fully accredited Registered Nurse program Minimum two years skilled nursing RN experience Active unencumbered RN Massachusetts state license SKILLS/ABILITIES/COMPETENCIES REQUIRED: Maintains and updates clinical knowledge and skills. Participates in relevant continuing education programs. Attends Nurses Association meetings. Knowledge of and dedication to the highest patient care and provide the utmost service excellence to all patients. Ability to take initiative and to exercise independent judgment, decision-making and problem-solving expertise. A can-do, team oriented attitude is essential, as the ability to work independently and to interact easily with physicians, other managers and staff throughout the department and hospital. Effective interpersonal/communication, organizational, and the flexibility to handle multiple tasks. Administration of injections Requirements: COVID vaccine with 2 Shots & Booster. SKILLS/ ABILITIES/ COMPETENCIES REQUIRED: Maintains and updates clinical knowledge and skills. Participates in relevant continuing education programs. Knowledge of and dedication to the highest patient care and provide the utmost service excellence to all patients.
