Travel HELPER - Construction Site (Auburn, IN)

 This jobsite is located in Auburn, IN.  Hourly rate based on experience + $120 per diem per day worked

Responsible for assisting refrigeration superintendent and crew members on the worksite with various miscellaneous duties, as assigned by jobsite supervision.

1. Must be safety-minded.
2. OSHA 10 not required but a plus.
3. Currently working 55 Hours a week; 5 tens and 5 on Saturday, with potential for weekend work.
4. If you're willing to travel, this job could last a lifetime.

Responsibilities

· Assist with the lay out, fabrication, assembly, installation, maintenance, repairs of industrial piping systems.

· Follow specific directions from project supervision.

· Performs a variety of duties which may often change.

· Repeat tasks of short duration according to a set procedure.

· Help set up tools and equipment.

· Loads and unloads construction materials from trucks and into buildings.

· Furnishes experienced craft worker with materials, tools, equipment, and supplies.

· Cleans work area and restocks supplies and materials.

· Assists in lifting positioning and securing of materials.

· May perform minor maintenance or cleaning of tools and equipment.

· Performs other routine duties as directed by experienced craft person.

· Maintains good housekeeping and a safe work area.

Experience/Education

· 1-2 years of (Commercial/Industrial) plumbing or pipefitting experience.

· Knowledge of piping systems (Preferred)

· High school or equivalent (Preferred)

Requirements

· Ability to work with direct supervision.

· Ability to communicate effectively and deal diplomatically with coworkers and tradesmen.

· Ability to exert up to 50 pounds of force (pulling, pushing, lifting, carrying, etc.).

· Ability to sit, stand and walk for 12 or more hours (while working on compressors, driving, etc.).

· Ability to work at unprotected heights and around moving machinery including vibrating machinery and tolerate environmental conditions consisting of heat, cold, noise, vibration, fumes, and dust.

· Ability to work in narrow and tight spaces and an occasional roof access may be necessary.

· Ability to bend, squat, kneel, balance, reach at waist level, shoulder level and above the head.

· Ability to climb and work from stairs or 6’ ladder, walk on uneven terrain, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, reach, stand, walk, twist, grasp to perform essential job functions.

· Ability to operate trucks and lifts in a safe manner and adhere to all company safety requirements.
