Travel Patient Care Technician

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Travel Patient Care Technician to join our healthcare team. In this role, you will provide essential support to patients and assist nursing staff in delivering high-quality care. You will work closely with patients in various settings, including inpatient and critical care environments, ensuring their comfort and well-being while adhering to safety and health protocols.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with daily living activities, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility.
• Monitor vital signs and report any significant changes to nursing staff.
• Maintain a clean and safe environment by following aseptic techniques and infection control protocols.
• Provide care for patients with specific needs such as geriatrics, memory care, hospice care, and infectious disease care.
• Support nursing staff in critical care settings by preparing equipment and assisting with procedures.
• Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations to protect patient confidentiality.
• Document patient information accurately in medical records.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of experience as a Patient Care Technician
• Active BLS certification

Experience

• Previous experience as a Patient Care Technician or similar role is preferred.
• Familiarity with basic life support techniques and emergency response protocols.
• Knowledge of caring for patients with diverse needs, including those requiring geriatric or hospice care.
• Understanding of infection control practices and the ability to implement aseptic techniques effectively.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a healthcare team.
