Travel Registered Nurse - Emergency Department

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse for our Emergency Room team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities

• Assess and triage patients in the emergency department, prioritizing care based on severity of condition.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, ensuring adherence to safety protocols.
• Perform emergency procedures such as tube feeding and advanced life support as necessary.
• Maintain accurate medical documentation and coding in accordance with ICD-9 standards.
• Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals in case management and treatment planning.
• Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding health conditions and treatment options.
• Monitor patient progress and respond promptly to changes in condition or emergencies.
• Ensure compliance with hospital policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.

Requirements

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.
• Certs: ACLS, BLS, PALS, NIHSS.
• At least 1 year of experience in an Emergency Room setting is required.
• Strong knowledge of medical-surgical nursing principles and practices.
• Familiarity with case management processes and medical documentation standards.
• Proficiency in coding practices related to ICD-9 is desirable.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with strong interpersonal abilities.
• Commitment to continuous professional development and staying current with best practices in emergency nursing.
