Travel Registered Nurse - Telemetry

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse - Telemetry to join our healthcare team. In this role, you will be responsible for monitoring patients' vital signs and providing critical care in a telemetry unit. You will work closely with physicians and other healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality patient care, ensuring the safety and well-being of patients with cardiac conditions.

Duties

• Monitor and interpret telemetry readings to assess patients' cardiac rhythms and vital signs.
• Administer medications and IV infusions as prescribed by physicians.
• Provide direct patient care, including assessments, interventions, and evaluations of patient responses.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans.
• Educate patients and their families on health management, disease prevention, and post-discharge care.
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in compliance with healthcare regulations.
• Respond promptly to changes in patients' conditions or emergencies, utilizing basic life support skills when necessary.

Skills
The ideal candidate will possess the following skills:

• Basic life support certification is required; advanced certifications are a plus.
• Experience in home care or medical office settings is advantageous.
• Knowledge of ophthalmology practices can enhance patient education efforts.
• Health coaching abilities to support patients in lifestyle modifications for better health outcomes.
• Familiarity with trauma medicine principles to provide comprehensive care in critical situations.
• Proficiency in administering dermal fillers may be beneficial for specific patient needs.
• Experience with IV infusion techniques is essential for effective medication delivery.
• Understanding of working with individuals with developmental disabilities is a valuable asset in providing holistic care.

Qualifications

• Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
• Requires specific amount of exp.: at least 1 year required
• Valid State License: Compact license
• Charting System: EpicRequired
