Phaxis Travel Healthcare has an urgent need for a Travel Respiratory Therapist (RRT) in Grand Junction, CO.

Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Respiratory Therapist (RRT) for a 13-week travel contract position in Grand Junction, CO. This position offers the opportunity to work with a diverse patient population, including pediatrics.

Key Responsibilities:

Assess, treat, and care for patients with breathing disorders and respiratory issues.
Perform diagnostic tests such as measuring lung capacity and blood oxygen levels.
Develop and implement individualized respiratory care plans.
Administer treatments and therapies, including aerosol medications, chest physiotherapy, and mechanical ventilation.
Monitor patient progress and adjust care plans as necessary.
Educate patients and their families on respiratory conditions and treatments.
Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive patient care.
Ensure proper operation and maintenance of respiratory therapy equipment.
Requirements:

Current and valid Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential.
Active Colorado state licensure as a Respiratory Therapist.
Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Respiratory Therapist.
Experience working with a diverse patient population, including pediatrics.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certifications preferred.
Strong knowledge of respiratory therapy principles, techniques, and equipment.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
