Job Description

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and evaluate infection prevention policies and procedures in accordance with current regulations and best practices.
• Conduct surveillance of healthcare-associated infections and analyze data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
• Educate staff, patients, and families on infection prevention practices and protocols.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to promote a culture of safety and infection control within the facility.
• Perform regular audits and inspections to ensure compliance with infection prevention standards.
• Provide recommendations for improving infection control practices based on evidence-based guidelines.

Requirements

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in California.
• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience, with a focus on infection prevention preferred.
• Certification in Infection Control (CIC) or equivalent is highly desirable.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.

Additional Information

• Contract Duration: 13 weeks.
