Job Description & Requirements:

Department Details: Emergency Department Social Work.

Number of Beds: 30-40 patients

Average Patient Ratio: 15-20 patients

Skill Level: MSW

Years of Experience: 2

Required Experience: MSW, Medical Social Work, Case Management, Brief Treatment

Preferred Experience: ED experience , Grief and Bereavement , Cultural Responsiveness, Crisis Intervention.

Required Certifications: Mass LCSW, BLS.

Additional Comments/Details: Utilizing clinical social work techniques and theory, consults on, assesses, and intervenes with high-risk patients and their families regarding the

impact/amelioration

of emotional and social problems. Duties also include, but are not limited to, referrals to outpatient dialysis clinics, supporting resource needs specifically related to transportation, conducting psychosocial assessments, making a psychosocial diagnosis, planning and implementing effective treatments, evaluation,
