Travel Specialist

The Opportunity:

Execute the program’s plan, processes, and activities for contract travel on behalf of the government. Coordinate travel activities with program leaders, initiating quality, security, risk, and cost controls to maximize compliance with the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR). Train, mentor, and advise program personnel of travel processes and activities, providing resources and situational awareness concerning hazardous travel, travel restrictions and bans, and import or export controls. Due to the nature of work performed within this facility, U.S. citizenship is required.

You Have: 

• Experience with the Intelligence Community (IC), the Department of Defense (DoD), or FEDSIM programs

• Experience submitting Travel Authorization Requests (TARs), Requests to Initiate Purchases (RIPs), and Trip Reports (TRs)

• Experience with data entry and database maintenance, data tracking and analysis, and reporting

• Knowledge of the FAR travel regulations and policies

• Knowledge of OCONUS travel requirements

• Knowledge of U.S. import and export regulations and processes to comply with regulations

• Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks and work in a deadline-driven environment

• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships

• HS diploma or GED

Nice If You Have: 

• Experience with Booz Allen’s Information eXchange (BIX)

• Experience working with International Trade Compliance (ITC) teams

• Possession of excellent organizational and time management skills

• Possession of excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Bachelor’s degree in International Relations, Foreign Policy, or Business

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $77,600.00 to $176,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
