Position:  Traveler - Medical Assistant - Days

Pay: $10.00 - $15.00 per hour

We are seeking a reliable and experienced medical assistant to provide full-time support, 5 days/week, in a fast-paced ambulatory care setting. Assist physicians and nursing staff with patient care duties and procedures. Obtain and record patient vital signs, histories, and chief complaints. Prepare exam rooms and assist with minor procedures. Assist with scheduling, referrals, and coordination of patient services. Current BLS certification required. 1+ year of outpatient/ambulatory clinic experience preferred. 13 weeks traveler.

Job Duties:
• Greet patients, take appropriate vital signs, review current meds and record in medical record
• Assist with tracking and monitoring department specific data
• Explain policies, procedures, or services to patients based on scope of practice
• Set up exam/procedure rooms appropriate to the patient visit needs
• Clean and re-process equipment and supplies following department guidelines
• Administer immunizations, injections, or oral medications as directed by provider
• Draw and prepare designated lab work or specimens as directed by provider
