Responsibilities
Provide daily on-site management and supervision of subcontractors, tradespeople, equipment operators, and laborers to ensure adequate staffing and high-quality work.
Coordinate and communicate with inspection officials, safety team members, engineers, and testing agencies to ensure compliance and project success.
Implement and oversee all site safety protocols in accordance with OSHA and company policies.
Procure materials, obtain pricing, and manage vendor relationships as needed for project execution.
Maintain effective communication with the home office, subcontractors, and clients through phone, in-person meetings, and email correspondence.
Ensure all work meets project plans, specifications, and schedules.
Develop, update, and enforce project schedules, ensuring adherence to timelines and milestones.
Identify and complete punch lists for project progress and closeout.
Coordinate and participate in project and subcontractor planning meetings.
Inspect job sites and review design documents for code compliance and contract requirements.
Track project progress against goals, objectives, timelines, and budgets.
Issue notices of non-compliance to subcontractors regarding quality or scheduling issues.
Monitor project expenses to ensure adherence to budget.
Operate smartphones or tablets efficiently for project management tasks.
Assist with budgeting, bidding, and awarding of subcontracts as needed.
Support the permitting process and maintain records of project material submittals and approvals.
Identify work outside of the subcontracted scope and assist in hiring sub-tier employees.
Open and secure the jobsite at the beginning and end of each workday.
Qualifications
Minimum of 5 years’ supervisory experience in heavy industrial and selective demolition projects.
Strong knowledge of potential risks and hazards in demolition environments, with the ability to resolve conflicts at all organizational levels.
OSHA 30 training required, with a commitment to enforcing all regulatory and company health and safety requirements.
Experience with heavy equipment is preferred.
Exceptional attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and construction documents.
Strong communication skills, including proficiency with telephone, digital forms, written logs, email, computers, and digital cameras.
Physical ability to navigate entire job sites, including stairs and elevated structures.
