Job Summary:

Hays Electrical Services is seeking an experienced and motivated Traveling Electrical Superintendent to oversee electrical construction projects across multiple locations, with a home base or relocation to Houston, TX. The ideal candidate will be responsible for supervising field operations, managing subcontractors and crews, ensuring compliance with safety standards, and delivering projects on time and within budget.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage electrical installation crews on commercial and industrial construction projects.

• Coordinate daily field activities, materials, inspections, and subcontractors.

• Read and interpret electrical blueprints, specifications, and project documents.

• Ensure compliance with NEC, OSHA, and company safety standards.

• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and general contractors.

• Monitor labor productivity and provide regular progress reports.

• Oversee quality control to ensure workmanship meets or exceeds company standards.

• Manage project scheduling, material procurement, and cost tracking.

• Travel to various project sites throughout Texas and surrounding states as needed.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 5 years of electrical field experience, with 2+ years in a superintendent or leadership role.

• Valid journeyman or master electrician license preferred.

• Strong understanding of NEC codes, electrical systems, and construction practices.

• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.

• Ability to travel frequently and relocate to the Houston, TX area.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office and project management software (e.g., Procore, PlanGrid is a plus).

• OSHA 30-hour certification preferred.
