Key Responsibilities:
- Command the Job Site: Take charge of operations, ensuring seamless progress towards project completion.
- Safety is Paramount: Obtain OSHA 30 certification within 30 days of hire, fostering a secure work environment.
- Crew Management Expertise: Leverage your experience in effectively leading and coordinating teams.
- Contracts: Showcase your knack for negotiating subcontracts, optimizing project efficiency.
- Network Powerhouse: Industry contacts (subs, suppliers, vendors) are a valuable asset.
- Manage and oversee construction projects at various locations, requiring travel as necessary.
- Coordinate with project managers, subcontractors, and field personnel to ensure project objectives are met.
- Supervise and direct onsite construction activities, including scheduling, budgeting, and quality control.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies at all project sites.
- Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress, address issues, and ensure quality standards are maintained.
- Collaborate with clients, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to resolve project-related challenges.
- Maintain accurate project documentation, including daily reports, progress photos, and change orders.
- Provide leadership and guidance to onsite personnel, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
- Communicate regularly with the project management team to provide updates on project status, budget, and schedule.
Qualifications:
- Construction Wizard: Deep knowledge of multi-family and commercial construction.
- Road Warrior: Must be willing to travel as much as 90% of full-time schedule
- Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or related field preferred.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in construction, with at least 3 years in a superintendent role.
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to effectively manage onsite personnel and subcontractors.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with diverse teams.
- Ability to travel extensively and work on short-term or extended projects as required.
- Experience working on commercial construction projects is preferred.
