Job Description - Treasury Management Specialist

Description

The Treasury Management Specialist is responsible for providing sales support, onboarding, and servicing direct customers for Thread Bank. This role focuses on the bank’s direct local business customers, larger corporate clients, and fintech firms that require commercial banking solutions. This person will compare our products to competitive offerings to identify gaps and recommend enhancements. The specialist will work closely with relationship managers, technology teams, and operations to ensure an efficient and seamless customer experience while optimizing treasury management products and services.

Key Responsibilities

Sales & Relationship Support

  • Collaborate with the Direct Banking and Embedded Teams to support sales efforts, including product presentations, proposal development, and pricing recommendations.
  • Orchestrate efforts bank wide to analyze customer needs, market trends, and competitive offerings to identify gaps in the treasury management product suite and recommend enhancements or new solutions.
  • Work closely with existing clients during support calls to understand their cash flow needs and provide consultative solutions.
  • Support product managers in identifying enhancements and gaps in the bank’s treasury offerings.

Client Onboarding & Implementation

  • Lead the onboarding process for treasury management customers, ensuring efficient implementation of services such as ACH, wires, remote deposit capture (RDC), positive pay, and merchant services.
  • Guide clients through account setup, system integration, and user training to ensure a seamless experience.
  • Coordinate with internal teams (operations, risk, compliance, and technology) to ensure smooth execution of client implementations.

Customer Service & Operational Support

  • Serve as a key point of escalation for Operations and Customer Support for treasury management customers, troubleshooting issues and providing resolutions related to system access, transactions, and service enhancements.
  • Deliver training and educational materials for customers on treasury products and best practices.
  • Assist in maintaining up-to-date policies and procedures for treasury services.

Technology, Product & Process Improvement

  • Leverage bank’s technology and workflow tools to create automations that streamline onboarding, issue resolution, and other operational workflows.
  • Act as a liaison between fintech clients, third party technology providers and the bank’s product/technology teams to ensure seamless integration to various digital banking solutions.
  • Stay current with emerging trends in fintech, payments, and cash management to enhance the bank’s treasury offerings.
  • Provide insights from client interactions to the product team, ensuring that treasury services evolve to meet the needs of small businesses, corporate clients, and fintech partners, including embedded banking solutions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, Business, Economics, or a related field preferred.
  • 3-5 years of experience in Treasury Management, Commercial Banking, or related financial services.
  • Strong understanding of treasury products such as ACH, wires, lockbox, RDC, and fraud prevention services.
  • Experience working with fintech clients and API-driven banking solutions is a plus.
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements related to treasury management services.
  • Exceptional customer service, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in treasury management systems, online banking platforms, and CRM tools.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally with sales, operations, compliance, and technology teams.
