Job Opportunity: Tree Climber/Arborist

Responsibilities:

• Perform tree trimming and pruning to maintain the health and appearance of trees.
• Utilize rigging techniques to safely lower branches and debris from heights.
• Operate lift and other equipment for tree care tasks.
• Cleanup job sites and participate in ground operations when needed.
• Assess tree health during jobsite walk arounds.
• Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow.
• Strive to play your part in maintaining a positive work environment.

Qualifications:

ISA Certification is a primary requirement for this role.

• Must be able to climb trees using ropes, harnesses, and climbing equipment for extended periods of time.
• Must be able to lift, carry, push, and pull equipment, branches, and tools weighing up to 75 pounds on a regular basis.
• Must be able to maintain physical endurance for 8–10 hours of strenuous outdoor work, including frequent standing, walking, bending, kneeling, reaching, twisting, and balancing.
• Must be able to use hand and power tools overhead and at awkward angles while maintaining stability aloft.
• Must have sufficient hand–eye coordination to tie knots, handle rigging, and operate saws safely and accurately.
• Must be able to work in all outdoor conditions common to Washington State, including rain, heat, cold, wind, and uneven terrain.
• Must be able to tolerate exposure to sawdust, pollen, insects, and other environmental factors.
• Must have adequate vision and hearing to identify hazards, respond to instructions, and recognize warning signals.
• Must be able to safely wear and use personal protective equipment (PPE), including helmet, eye and hearing protection, climbing harness, gloves, and chainsaw chaps.
