Tree Cutting Laborer

DeAngelo Contracting Services (DCS) is seeking a highly motivated Tree Cutting Laborer with a great attitude and strong ethics. This position is responsible for performing the day-to-day job functions that support all field operations.

Responsibilities: 

• Safely climb trees using ropes, saddles, and other climbing equipment.
• Perform tree pruning, trimming, cabling, and removals according to industry standards.
• Operate chainsaws, pole saws, chippers, stump grinders, and other tree care equipment.
• Assist with rigging operations and the controlled lowering of tree limbs and sections.
• Perform ground crew duties including brush cleanup, chipping, and debris removal as needed.
• Conduct daily inspections of climbing gear, tools, and equipment.
• Follow all company safety procedures and OSHA regulations.
• Communicate effectively with crew members to ensure safe and efficient job completion.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, vehicles, and equipment.
• Work outdoors in various weather conditions and terrain.

EDUCATION:

• High School Diploma or Equivalent is required.

EXPERIENCE:

• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Prior tree climbing experience required.
• Experience with tree pruning and removals preferred.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record (MVR) required.
• Ability to travel extensively, including trips lasting 5–6 consecutive weeks at a time.
• Ability to work safely at heights and perform physically demanding outdoor work.
• Strong work ethic, reliability, and commitment to safety.
