JOB DESCRIPTION

TITLE: Medical Assistant – Ancillary Services

JOB SUMMARY: Serves as an MA who works directly and courteously with patients regarding medical questions and procedures, assists in minor surgical and diagnostic procedures, EKG, Holter and Event Monitors, Vaccinees Nursing Ancillary services. When working in a satellite location,  This position relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job; persons must be able to take direction well and demonstrate understanding of such guidelines.

CRITERIA FOR EVALUATION: Evaluated performance of assigned duties within the department and teamwork approach. Positive relationships with co-workers as well as patients also considered part of evaluation criteria.

REPORTING RELATIONSHIP: Reports directly to the Clinic Manager/ Team Lead

SPECIAL QUALIFICATIONS: Excellent communication and people skills. Must be able to work extra hours as needed to serve patients. Willingness to be a team player. Ability to use computers extensively in daily work activities.

Approx hours per week:_30 -35 hours __
